First Holiday Party at the Lansing Center
After several months of planning and coordinating several moving parts, Chase Creative has kicked off the holiday season with an amazing event at the Lansing Center. This is an annual event for our client, and our management level has increased to encompass the décor elements, along with our AV services. We began to plan the look for the room, and called in a partner of ours, Destination Consultants in Grand Rapids, to put their polish on the ideas. We decided on a burgundy drape to completely envelope the room, an enormous fabric fountain, a modular chandelier, and plenty of lights to highlight and paint everywhere in the room. With Destination Consultants, we expanded on the idea of an “Enchanted Forest”, and they brought in linens, tree centerpieces, and large free standing trees, all draped in crystal beading. This was the perfect complement to our forest of tree gobos shining on the walls. As an exciting stage backdrop for the DJ, we hung a bead curtain and white fabric panels painted with lights, plus added the effect of two haze machines. Finally, under the circular fountain, we placed a large, square “glow bar”, which could be set to shine with any desired color (we chose red).
The party also included a casino, which was set with eleven gaming tables, another glow bar, and LED uplights shining on the drape. The chandelier was lit as the casino opened, inviting guests to continue the party with card games and dancing.
If the excitement level of the client and guests was any indicator, then this event was definitely a hit! The room was completely transformed to become an elegant, jaw-dropping setting for an enchanting night.
