How To Dress Up Your Stage

The show must go on!

Stage production is critical when it comes to captivating your audience.

Here are five tips to set your stage up for your best event yet.

  1. Understand Client Needs & Ask Questions

Communication is key. As a meeting planner, some of your clients will know exactly what they want. So listen closely, take notes and set up your timeline to fit the client’s needs. Asking questions like what are the logistics of staging presenters and their PowerPoints, will there be live music, and what is the number of people that would potentially be on stage – all can help determine the flow of the show.

  1. Examine What Will Be Behind Your Presenter

Think of your audience. When attendees are coming in to be educated they want to know your brand and see it very clearly. Meaning when presenters are on stage videos and PowerPoints should not be directly behind them obscuring the views of the audience. Keep things minimal – you don’t want too much distraction taking away from the speakers.

  1. Dark Backgrounds, Bright Letters for Presentations

Textures, fonts, color schemes are all crucial. A boring presentation won’t hold the attention of your audience! Using dark backgrounds with light letters will give your presentation the extra “pop” it needs to captivate the crowd.

  1. Set Different Lighting for Presenters

The most underestimated aspect to a presentation! Lighting does a lot for a presenter and can make or break their flattery on stage. Light coming from above will give your speakers the glow they deserve!

  1. Cascade Your Presentations Strategically

The flow of the show can keep your audience engaged. Make sure you are inserting proper break times to allow people to mingle and potentially network with fellow attendees. Whether it be allotted “networking sessions”, “lunch time”, “interactive gatherings”, etc.
