Opening Ceremonies for the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum
The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum reopened the morning of June 7th after months of renovations costing more than $13 million. The public was introduced to new exhibits and the expansion wing named the DeVos Learning Center by guest speakers including: Vice President Dick Cheney, Steve Ford, Doug DeVos, and Juliette Turner, national youth director for Constituting America. Music was provided by the United States Army Chorus and Salvation Army Band.
Chase Creative was on hand for the museum opening ceremonies providing audio, staging, and press feed services with a crowd of 1,500 guests and dignitaries that included hundreds of area students just outside the museum main entrance. A mixture of flown audio arrays and strategically placed fill speakers provided clear, even coverage of the event space ensuring consistent audio quality from the front row VIPs to the last seat in the highest row of bleachers.
The festivities kicked off the evening before with a gala dinner hosted by the JW Marriott of Grand Rapids, MI. Chase Creative was on hand for this event as well, providing full audio visual production services for the hotel with HD projection and camera record, a full lighting package, flown audio, and best-in-industry technicians executing a flawless event. It was a memorable evening that included a video presentation of the United States Navy’s newest aircraft carrier, the aptly named USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78).
It was a memorable dedication and Chase Creative is proud to have played a part in an event worthy of a United States President.
